I came across this link on tvseriesfinale.com if its useful to someone, while lookin at a few shows that could be cancelled!

I didnt realise that DSM hadnt shown the last 4 eps as according to Digiguide
    Time - 00:00 to 00:55 (55 minutes long).
When - Friday 17th April on RTÉ 2

The Plan. Series 2, episode 9.
& will show the remaing as well.

But i cant say i've watched Eli Stone yet as its on very late on RTE, but which one is the ripoff as The Mentalist is on place of Dragons Den on Thurs on RTE1

Those 4 "unaired" episodes of Eli Stone referenced in the link have already been shown here on Rté. The series ended on the Irish airwaves 2 weeks ago, and the short-lived Jimmy Smits vehicle "Cane" (cancelled in Dec 2007 after 13 episodes) has replaced it in the Rté insomnia-vision schedules.

The rip-off argument isn't really valid, as The Mentalist & Eli Stone are very different shows ("Psych" and The Mentallist would be a more valid comparison, but again, both are quite different in style & content), but if you're asking which show made it's début first, it was Eli Stone, airing in January 2008 , with The Mentalist not appearing on US screens until September of that year.

They are all crap shows, along with Castle.

Umm you think they're rip-offs of each other? One is a show about a lawyer who may be a prophet and includes musical numbers and the other is a crime procedural about someone with sharp observational skills? Ehhh?
They are all crap shows, along with Castle.
Except they're not. "The Mentalist" is very enjoyable - something the mods of this forum will testify too as well. "Eli Stone" was nice as well and I'm sorry to see it go.

    Eli Stone was great.
    The Mentalist is great.
Castle isn't great (but Nathan Fillion is great).
Psych is average, and not even in The Mentalists league.
    I like cake.

I normally hate those kind of soaps with a passion but DSM was brilliant.

oh thank god i'm not alone in this. DSM was utter utter crap, but just so darned watchable. I'm normally one for the aul gritty TV shows, a bit of angst, the occasional worthy More 4 documentary and all that McGubbins.

Sometimes you need to cleanse the pallatte - and DSM used to the job just fine thankyewverymuch...

Part of me can't help thinking it was no more than an urban version of Dallas, mind!

I never got into these shows , as there are so many & when i saw rte advertise the mentalist i assumed it was on a par with Eli Stone as it mentioned something about a psychic in it, it put me off sadly.

Also i gotta say DSM is insufferable & addictive at times, i just cant won til its finished.

& so is Castle but only for Nathan Fillion as he reminds me of Bruce Willis in Moonlighting as they dont make them like that anymore & made me buy the 1st 2 series for a fiver at sendit.com.
