I would be afraid if Edge won because chances are Punk might cash in the MITB meaning Edge has another waste of title reign. I would rather Cena to win and then Punk cashes in

Edge is winning surely. Smackdown needs a title. Funny how they didn't mention that at all on Raw when it was the main talking point when both titles went to Smackdown last year

Due to the fact that after the WWE draft both the WWE champion (Triple H) and the World champion (John Cena) ended up on the same brand (RAW), there is likely to be a title change at the upcoming Backlash PPV on April 26th.
While Triple H has his title up for grabs in a trios match with all RAW talent, Cena is defending his World title against Smackdown's Edge. This pretty much guarantees Edge winning the World title to keep the top-two singles titles on opposing brands.
Of course, WWE has been known to switch booking ideas simply to fool people watching, but even still this seems to be a lock.

I would prefer Orton winning but i guess they need to have a title on SD and Orton will probably continue his feud with HHH alot longer now HHH is on RAW

the only alternative to having Edge win the belt is to have CM Punk win it from Cena at Backlash cashing in MITB, that is unless they dont want to end the post mania cross brand stuff now.

Also consider Judgement day is in illinois this year, so maybe Punk will get his shot at that event. Based on some house show matches i have seen advertised punk could be feuding with umaga which would be a good way of putting him over before judgement day comes round.

I can see orton coming out of the HHH feud as champ, with that in mind i can't see Cena losing yet. Cross brand is certainly an option in the coming weeks so that leaves a jericho cena feud after backlash (Maybe).

I would really like to see a cena Jericho feud but as much as i prefer Jericho id like Cena to win it as i think Punk cashing in MITB against Cena and thus a heel turn would be the best way to use it (except of course in case of champion injury/suspension etc before then)

If Punk cashes it in I hope its not sudden like last year, that concept has been done so often. Ideally he should do a RVD and challenge the winner of Cena/Edge to a match at Judgement day Chicago where he is guaranteed to get one of the best reactions of the night.

I loved the fact he done the whole cash in after the match on Edge seeing as thats how edge won it.
But to have him do it again would be very heelish, especially if its Cena.

But to have a build up where Punk would say he is cashing it on directly after the match they have in Chicago so then it could be a case of it doesnt matter who wins, they have another match after it regardless.

What should happen is CM Punk putting his MITB on the line against Jericho and losing it. Orton to beat Triple H for the title and John Cena to retain.

Then Jericho to get a title match against Orton at Judgement day and beat him Obviously and Cena to retain again at Judgement day and while he's celebrating in the ring Jericho to cash in and beat him for his title also

Jericho beats Cena and Orton in the same night?! Wouldn't it be great?

No Titles will be going to smackdown,
the TV company that airs Smackdown is going out of Bussiness, (hence all the top stars going to raw)

Just read somethin interesting for backlash. A match fans here wanted after mania to be announced on raw. Its supposed to happen at the start of raw. I'm saying no more in case the site was talking muck.

Would a unification match not be more appropriate at the 25th anniversary of mania? Orton is a cert to take the title at some stage in the next two months from HHH.

Even if the network goes out of business, Smackdown will just move to another Network. Its not being replaced by superstars thats just another new show with matchs from all 3 brands

Cena has been losing a lot, but i know he would want to win and become a unification champ and usher in a new era.

But HHH would probably rather not be beaten by Cena twice in a row. And especially not for a title.

They really need to focus on getting some new, or re-assign the current "B" titles before doing anything.

Well even if Orton wins on Sunday. That would be Orton v Cena for the Unifaction at Summerslam. That gives Orton the chance to win the Unifaction Belt and set up a nice Autumn feud with HHH. U See Me?:cool:

I also caught Raw last night and I have to say Jericho was absolutley brilliant in his segment with Steamboat and Cena. If you havent seen it yet,keep an eye on Jericho walking up the ramp. His acting is second to none. Great Segment.

Its goin to be a long year before the next Wrestlemania my friend....alot of PPV'S to fill. Just because you win MITB dosnt mean you are going to win the belt???? MITB is also used just to add abit of depth to a charcter.

True. SD will find a deal and even if not they will just replace Superstars with it. They wont do a unification angle at Summerslam simply because they will want to keep a belt on each show. The draft will end some day but their has been no word of it happening yet from any reputable sites.

They would be mad to drag out the Hunter v Orton thing, seeing as how bad the matches have been and how uninterested the crowds have been at both of their recent matches.

To be honest if Orton wins sunday it will probably be due to Shane or Batista **** up, so they could easily get away with Hunter v Batista while Orton can go at Cena for the summer, or they could build up someone fresh e.g Matt,Mvp, Kennedy and let them get involved in the main event. Eh no don't see that happening either.:rolleyes:

Was a bit last minute alright. It is supposed to stem from Punk knocking kane off the ladder before claiming the briefcase in mitb. Seems to me they are keeping punk on ppv to help him be a credible campionship contender.

WWE want fans to RK-Order backlash.

There are six matches and a kiss cam listed so far. The matches should get plenty of time. Card looks better than mania at this stage.

It is a solid card I must admit, the Hrdy match looks very interesting with rumors of Jeff leaving. The Jericho match will be better than his Mania one and even the ix man tag match could be fun. The Punk match will be a dud, but if Punk wins with the GTS then I will be ok with it. I must say the Cena v Edge match could be epic though, as they rarely let anybody down.

I think the punk kane match could work. But i'm a Punk fan and wearing blinkers. I just wish it got a better build up. It was just thrown together this week. Backlash has had a half ars3d build up, yet mania had what 7 weeks? and they never got the overall card to be as interesting.

Did you not see their match on Raw this week?, they botched the finish so bad they had to go out and do it again. And guess what they botched it again. So what do they reward them with...a PPV match. Instead of Evan Bourne who's been working his butt off the last two weeks and had two great matches.

You know what I just realised, there's only 6 matches on this show (and the Kiss Cam:(), there surely must be some last minute, unadvertised throw on match.

I was wearing blinkers! I read they had to do it again. I must admit (On review with blinkers removed) the repeated end didn't look to hot either.

Maybe some sort of divas match will be added. I was also thinking maybe Big Show and Undertaker after the way the match on smackdown ended.
