Trinity college - non satisfactory attendance. Help!

I got an email to say that I have to meet my lecturer about unsatisfactory attendance. I read on the website that I may have to repeat the year. Can anyone tell me if this is a definite outcome?
I have some mitigating factors - financial problems, family health problems, and a personal medical problem. The problem is that I can not provide certification for all of these things, just my own medical problem.
Do they take these kind of factors into account?
I'm a final year postgrad, I can not afford to repeat next year. If they do not take a kind view of my situation, I'm screwed. I'm worried sick.
Please, if anyone can help, I'd be grateful.

Is your lecturer you supervisor, are you doing a taught or research Postgrad?

Its a taught postgrad, I dont have a supervisor. The lecturer is the course co-ordinator I think.

Do you know how they've been taking attendance?
Get all your medical records and notes in order and explain your situation to your lecturer, offer to do the extra work at home, or if you can't get to college arrange your work to be emailed out to yourself. Then contact the graduate office for advice:

In future let your lecturers know about any developments, or non attendance when they happen, rather then get them chasing you up, if they're more informed about your situation and kept up to date, they're more likely to be sympathetic.

They can. If you make it a matter of record it will be looked at during the panel reviews that take place after the year has ended, and will probably work in your favor if you require any kind of exemptions, eg. if you failed a course by a handful of points.

It should be noted you don't have to speak with your lecturer about the gritty details - the campus counselor can hear out your case behind closed doors and vouch for you.
