    Hi,

Can anyone help me on this. My year end here in work is March 2009. I want to close off the year now and start working on april 2009 onwards. I know I can run the year end and it will post the year end ledgers etc and give me my brought forward figures.

My question is, once the accounts are audited, if changes need to be put through for the y/e march 2009, do the b/f figures get amended for these amounts then or is it something I have to manually do?

MD here wont allow me get sage support, he can be mean about very unwise things!

You'll have to post journal to manually agree your opening TB to the auditors closing TB.

You should try and have most of the work done already, most importantly make sure your bank is reconciled.

Thanks for that. I have everything in my control now nice an tidy, there was a huge investment in the company in the year and I know that many of the p&l items will be capitalised by the auditors and I am trying to gauge how much hassle this will cause me!

    Hi Dixie Chick

There is no problem posting a journal in sage after your year end but dated 31 march but you shouldn't journalise the any of they p&l codes as these will of being cleared by year end adjustments would need to be down to P&L control account (normally 3200)

    Hi

You should ask your auditor for a list of adjusting journals that agree your sage to their accounts. Let them work it out for you as it is what they are paid for :)

    Hope this helps
