Hair Colour Advice

    Hi,

I've currently got dyed dark reddish/brown hair and have already had it stripped from black in the last 5 months or so, and now want to go blonde.

My hairdresser won't strip my hair again (fair enough) but is going to just have to keep toning down my hair to get the dark colour out of it.

I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up the process? I've heard things like Head and Shoulders strips hair dye etc. but have never tested it.

Is there anything I can do to help lighten up my hair on my own? I want this to happen as quickly as possible (going away at the end of may and want my hair to as blonde as possible by then)

    Thanks!

A few months ago I decided to put a slightly darker colour in my hair (I did it myself, not a good idea) and hated it so I tried washing it with Head and Shoulders constantly. I'm not sure if it worked or not as it wasn't a permanent dye anyway so perhaps it was fading of its own accord.

Do not put any more dye in your hair. The best way to lighten your hair now without damaging it is just to stay out in the sun as much as possibly. I used to put lemon juice in my hair when I was younger to lighten it and I think it worked, although it might have been all in my mind.

thanks for the advice, I think I'll try both the head and shoulders and the lemon, I mean it can't hurt right?

I'm usually so impatient and when I want my hair changed, I want it done NOW but this whole waiting thing should be interesting. hope I can get it light enough soon :)

Washing up liquid is supposed to strip hair too. Heard this from two hairdressers.
