Has anyone replaced tiles with cork flooring? Is it warmer / more comfortable underfoot and more heat retentive?

Concrete tiles seem to be very difficult to heat.

Yes tiles are very cold and if you put cork this will improve a lot

I grew up with cork tiles! They're amazing. My father put them in to both houses we lived in. Can't voucher for the suitability for UFH but in general it is quite comfortable and plates "almost" bounce of them. You wake up in the morning and you can walk into the kitchen in your barefoot because they nowhere near as cold as ceramic tiles. He varnishes them every 3 to 4 years with a roller - looks as good as new in a day! I'd put them in my own house but the OH isn't as enthusiastic!

cork tiles are great, much warmer than lino or other tiles. One problem with the ones we had, you couldn't let anyone walk on them with shoes on as it left imprints in the tiles - especially high heels (like my brother's GF, no matter how many times we asked her to take her stilettos off  )
