After hours syndrome

    How many of the posters here in After Hours cant help but still make smart/funny comments in other parts of the site. I started to answer all threads in my After Hours mode a while back. I had to cut it back after getting banned from Personal issues for a bit.

    <SNIP> Now that would have been a grand response in here but not in Personal Issues.
    I've made a few other comments in religious forums and motor forums etc that should be only for here.

    I have caught After Hours syndrome, there is know known cure for it. The thing is though, I might get a few infractions because of this, but its After Hours fault and I feel I shouldnt be blamed for coming down with this sarcastic/smart/funny illness.

    The worse symptom though of AHS is when you are in the "real" world and are telling stories about what "one of the lads" on After hours said or done. Then the person says , ah he sounds mad. Your like ah yeah he is sound out. It comes across as if ya know the person even though ya never met them. My girlfriend actually thinks I have friends now.

    I know I'm not the only one with AHS, so was just wondering, what kinda replies did you give in other parts of the forums that would have definately getting an applaud in after hours but got you scorned in the place you posted it.

    It's easy to figure out the boundaries after a while. Getting a PI ban is easier than wetting the bed in fairness.

    I notice a lot of AHers don't leave the confines of the forum at all, which is alright I guess, if a little strange.

    It's like buying playboy, and not reading the articles, ya know?

    I know well enough not to AH mode in other forums. Shame on you Seany!

    My problem is I use AH mode in RL. That can be hazardous to your health when not sitting behind a computer.

    Nah, 4-channers have been doing that for years, in the mistaken belief that they're being different. Or avant garde. Or something.

    I must be immune to it, 'cos aside from the cliches that people have more or less dumped now, I didn't realise AH had a style as such :)

    Anyway I don't think i've caught AHS, however i have caught the Politics forum's version of AHS which is pretty much when I talk about political matters on other sections of Boards.ie and in real life and insist on being the government when I don't have the slightest clue about how to run the country:(
