Self Employed and Benefit

    Not sure if this is the right place to post. Just wondering what the situation is as regards being self employed and getting the dole or some assistance. What is out there or is there anything as you dont have the stamps built up like during normal employment.

    As far as i know you can apply for dole but you have to satisfy a means test. You will need last set of accounts for the business and have cancelled your tax registrations. If you are married you will need your spouse income details.

    Go to your local office with as much paperwork as you can and see what they say.
