    Hi all,

I am sailing to Holyhead on tuesday morning from dublin port. I have never travelled by ferry with a car. Could someone give me a "dummies guide" for what I need to know like arrival time before sailing , procedure for boarding etc. Thanks in advance.

Turn up an hour beforehand, although 30minutes should be enough, and follow instructions, it is as simple as that. You won't be able to go to your car during the crossing so make sure you have everything you will need in a bag ready to take with you, then just remeember what deck and wjat colour stairs you are parked near.

I always try and get out of the car and up to the seats as soon as I can as sometimes it can be a bit tricky finding a seat, but uther than that the ferry companies expect everyone to be a first timer so they will direct you very carefully.
