    The samsung has a marginally better processor, and a larger hd. But the acer has a bluray drive. Both have similar graphics. Ultimately both will handle what you want, if it were me, i'd go with the samsung, dont like the keyboards on the acers.

    I'd in with the acer for the bluray. I wouldn't worry about laptopsdirect either as acer have a superb repair service.

    The Acer - great spec for the price - Ive had a couple of acer machines and had no problems - They're not as good as Macs tho' !
