Hi everyone help badly needed. I have a gas boiler in my apartment that heats both the radiators and the hot water taps. The problem I have at the minute is that neither the gas boiler or the immersion is heating the hot water taps for sinks or bath(only very lukewarm water coming out). Any ideas on the problem. The tank in the hot press isnt getting hot either, only lukewarm. Thanks:confused:

Are there any hot taps dripping/not shut off/leaking?

How long do you leave either the boiler or immersion switched on before checking the temperature from the taps? Do both heat the water to the same temperature?

Just bear with me on the following

Are you sure you have an immersion, Just because you have a switch does not mean there is an immersion. Is there a big black circular box like a tumer on the top of you copper cylinder

Some times rather than putting a divert on the boiler ie for just hot water the plumbers put in a zone valve that is turned on and off seperatly. Have you any switches you dont know what they do.

Finally have you any details on your boiler. Make model etc. Is the copper cylinder in your hot press about 6 feet tall
