OK I never really liked Science in School but really started to like Biology in 6th year, esp. Anatomy. I'm a really healthy person and I love knowing about the human body....how it works, what's good or bad for it,etc. I also love watching ER, Greys Anatomy, etc.(And before you say it....I know it won't be as rosy as that) and so I think I want to study medicine now! I definitely want a career in healthcare anyway!! Thing is I'm not a major sciency person. I mean plant biology....don't even go there! I have no knowledge of chemistry (it was like a total blur in junior cert) so don't know if it interests me. I don't have the CAO points for medicine so the only option that appeals to me is Graduate Entry. So all ye med students can ye tell me what its like? If I didn't like chemistry but was good at it would I survive medical school. Should I do a Science degree as my Primary degree? Im still young so i've loads of time yet!

Anyone have any opinions on which of the following is a better route to follow? I have one year of an Accounting degree done.
1: Get my 2.1 Honours Degree and do graduate entry medicine.
2: Repeat my Leaving Certificate and try to get the points for undergraduate medicine.
    Thanks!

Is he aware of the graduate entry medicine option? You must do a GAMSAT first though! The course is only 4 years duration. although more intensive, but better than 5/6 years as with undergraduate medicine courses!
