    Cheers:)

Anything from the Shimano range are solid hubs and worth buying.

Deore, SLX or XT, what terrain are you going to be riding with it?

...usually mixed tarmac/off road......I would need something quick for tarmac sections and something resistant for the off-road.......

Then any I mentioned above would be ideal.

I reckon Shimano XT are best Value for money, in terms of hub longevity. Hope's make a lovely noise :). Chris King have a rock solid reputation for quality at a price

Great hubs but seem like over kill for this scenario.

....I am not very technical.....so you are saying that any hub will fit my bike as long as , I assume, it has 36holes and 6 bolts as my existing hubs:confused:.....or should I be worried about all other spec as, for example, listed on the M525 specification......

    Specifications M525
    Over Locknut 100mm
    Axle Length 108mm
Axle Diameter & Material 9 mm steel
    Spoke Holes 36/32 holes
    Spoke Hole Circle 61 mm
Center to Flange - Right 21.1
Center to Flange - Left 31.7

....I am asking because I wouldn't have a clue about my wheels' spoke hole size, etc.......

Where are you getting your wheels built? A good wheel builder will tell you all you need to know about what spokes and what rims will suit them.

If you're heavy, like me (210lbs), avoid Deore for the rear anyway if you're going to be giving it some stick. Something like a Hope Pro2/NukeProof...that'll never break!
