    Super Tennis
    [UK, Faux Discx]

Super Tennis are a three piece from London, who attempt to marry the tight boogie woogie of the Dismemberment Plan with the high drama of Kerry Katona's Iceland adverts, all the time giving a sly nod to Karate, Hall & Oates and American Football. For fans of shouting, smiling and Wu-Wear.'

Hooray For Humans [Smalltown America, OOAL]
    www.myspace.com/hoorayforhumansband

Hooray For Humans is a perfect example of how different minds coming together can often equal the best results; with backgrounds in everything from hardcore to avant-garde minimalism, the Cork group are now a brazen pop outfit, who flirt with everything from post-rock to new-wave to electro.

Their debut album entitled Safekeeping, released in October 2007, manages to find a blissful counterbalance between emotive lyrics mixed with boy/girl shouty pop, sensitive indietronica, big choruses and fun times. It is the sound of a band enjoying themselves, wanting to make you dance; yet it is anything but throwaway in its nature.
