That aint one of there better moments but they were a great band in their day. Have a listen to sensitize.

Were they what became of the Undertones after Fergal Sharkey left?

Just seeing Dav's post now. Were you one of the petrols?

I was a Petrol roadie who got pressed into additional service when their bass player left.

You have had an eventful career (still ongoing of course).

Have you ever thought (seriously) about writing a book about your experiences in the music business?

I always find the behind the scenes stuff really interesting.

LOL. You should consider it though. There can't be to many people walking around who have had your kind of experience in the biz.

No, most of them aren't walking any more - or doing anything else for that matter ...;)

hmmmm. Can I hazard a guess that you are not singing that particular song every saturday night since. Jays it's terrible, I've worked in factories who's machinery had better arrangement.

Love the chick at 0.44 doing the MC Hammer type dance though. Really getting in to it.

I'm not sure about excellent ! The first time I saw after the night in question it was yesterday - what a manky mix!

Indeed I do remember .... a new Comedian called Vic Reeves and 50s throwback Chris Issacs ...

Notice to I was playing a Gibson Les Paul bass before it was either fashionable or profitable. ;)

    go on the brewer!

i prefer your look now tbh. although you did appear to be wearing a nice pair of trainers which is essential for a good band imo.

I'm also wearing a t-shirt a friend made me with 'Tart' printed on it and standard roadie issue sweat pants!

The sweat pants were appropriate as I had 3 mins 40 sec to plug up all the gear (silently) ... as I was still da roadie too !

In fact I recall the track had actually started before I noticed Damien on guitar had his amp on standby ...

    I think they call it 'Rock'n'Roll' ;)

I thought the Petrols were a great band. One of Irelands finest. Also Stevie Mack was a hell of a vocalist
