Having a weird no signal issue..

I have 3 sky boxes, sky hd in main room, with sky+ and standard sky box in 2 bedrooms. I am getting the "no signal being received" on numerous channels on the hd box but all working fine on the sky+ box..

The signal test screens on the hd box is as follows:

Input 1 signal strenght 75% of bar
Input 1 signal quality 50% of bar

    nothing on input 2..

The signal test screens on the + box is as follows:

Input 1 signal strenght 50% of bar
Input 1 signal quality 50% of bar

Some of the channels affected, sky 1,2 comdey central+1, scuzz, flaunt, bliss,

    any help appreciated...

Try swapping the cables around and see does input two show anything then.

That's what I did when I had a similar problem and the loss of signal followed the cable. It ended up that the cable had been 'spiked' on a carpet gripper.

EDIT : Call Sky, your HD box may be subject to a recall. Mine was replaced today and one of the questions the engineer asked me was if I had the 'No satellite signal recieved' error.

if you have had the Hd box for more than 18 months could be a problem with the power supply board. (transformer)

have you tried swapping the sky+ box with the HD box?

nope, havent tried swapping around just yet.. have been looking on the net and have decided to try the reset thing 1st, if that doesnt work, im gonna try swapping them around..

if it is the power supply thingy.. can this be fixed????

and the box is about 3 years old i remember correctly

pull out the power lead at the back of the box.
press and hold backup on the didi box while plugging the power lead back in. keeping the backup button held wait until u get a message on the screen then u can leave the button off.

Yes easy fix. I got mine from Satcure.
ordered a replacement, paid for it ,they sent me a new board,
I sent the old one back and then got the deposit back.

    here's the link

The total I paid was €45

all the info on changing the board etc is on the site, also what to look for on your existing box. (Bulging capacitors)
