    They all sucked.

Although I'll give Blur my vote for getting Jo Guest in one of their videos.

Hmmm, Pighead's wondering what kind of CD's resides in Terry's collection. There is definitely a bit of Staus Quo in there. No doubt about it. If Terry doesn't have the Quo on at full blast whilst dancing around his PC in the nip singing "Modding all over the World" then Pigheads name is not Pighead. Also possibly a bit of early Whitney and maybe late Chas and Dave in there as well.

Did my dismissal of a couple of over-rated bands get to Pighead?

I'd say Pighead went with the Blur option.
The quo are exactly the same as Oasis, so Pighead wouldn't have dismissed them so quickly.

    Also, poll edited.
I left the super tramp option there because it made me laugh.

Not at all Terry! Pigheads just trying to get inside the mind of an After Hours Mod. Quo, Whitney and Chas and Dave area all excellent artists and it is in no way a slight on your character to suggest you may listen to them.

    1993-4: I'm 15 in a small rural town. 2 unlimited and D-ream and even Scooter are de-rigueur.
I'm 'queer' for listening to REM, Pearl Jam and Nirvana.
I still remember the exhilaration of hearing Live Forever. Oasis were the turning point. Slane 1995 was our GPO.
Okay, so it turns out Blur are artistically superior as are Suede and The Stone Roses but that kid in me will always love Oasis.

Always Blur! Oasis are RUBBISH! They'd a few good b-sides though. Like Pulp and Supergrass too!

It was Blur for me at the time.

I did quite like Oasis and Pulp too though.

Great post. Liam Gallagher was a hero to our generation.

I listen to all 3. Why do I have to choose 1?

I thought the Spice Girls were the height of musical sophistication at the time, and thought Oasis and Blur were for old people...now, I see that they all suck.

you should have made it a multiple choice poll, as i listened to both blur and supergrass, and still do :)

In front of my mates i was Oasis all the way but at home late at night when no one was around i cracked open my boyzone and spice girl cd collection.

Oh yes thats right "my name is sillyputty and i listened to the spice girls" wow it feels so much better to say it out loud.

Never Noel Gallagher was the hero. Liam was just a tosser that sang a few songs and shagged Patsy Kensit

    Blur and Supergrass were/are fantastic.

Oasis are a remarkably overrated band. There is simply no logic as to why they became so popular.

Looking back on blurs career, the album (13) - (released in 1999, the 1 with coffee & tv on it) was an absolute masterpiece album which I thought was crap at the time because of them changing their sound so much.

But that's what they did differently to oasis, which makes them better musicians in my opinion. They experimented, and changed, successfully. Even the recent oasis stuff (dig out your soul) still sounds like the definitely maybe or what's the story morning glory albums.

i didnt listen to any of them - i thought it was very silly the way people did.

    Remember in Ted?

    Oasis or Blurr?

It reminded me of years before ted in like 3rd or 4th class in scool some kid said who do you support

    Manu or liverpool?

lol some people have such one tracked minds

When these bands were out, the best band to emerge from that era and still making excellent music , Porcupine Tree.
They even wrote a song about Oasis, Three Chords That Made A Million.:D
