I was working last night (Driving my Taxi) and picked up a woman who was going to Drumcondra to try raise money for the charity she works for,its a charity that helps children who are victoms of abuse, they were holding a raffel for an easter egg in a pub. She was telling me that the charity was strugling and they have to cancel their annual ball because they couldnt sell the tickets.
This was one thing that i never thought about in the recession, Maybe we should all do a bit for the charities if we can to help out ? Even if its a couple of hours a week to help out or even give a small donation.
I donated the taxi fare last night and the woman could not believe I was willing to do that. I hope we dont forget the less fortunate in these hard times.

Yeah, volunteering a few hours per week to help those less fortunate is very rewarding. I do a bit for youth clubs in my area but could probably do more. It beats moaning about taxes and the jobless on the internet
