Oh by the way... does anybody put their easter eggs in the freezer before eating them? I used to do this all the time when I was a kid.. and still do sometimes.. it makes the easter egg nicer, in my opinion

Ah I'm not too bothered with it this year, always thought buying the eggs was uneconomical for the amount of chocolate you get for your money. Always bought the family fancy ones that just get left sitting around for weeks.

I also think I'm getting a small one and one from 'The Easter Bunny'!

    Whoohooo!!! JACKPOT!!!

I'm getting one of those Lindt chocolate rabbits. My ma gets me one every year without fail. They're remarkably good.

You've just got a very very odd family then. That would never happen in my house.

And oh yea, definitely has to be from the freezer with a nice glass of cold milk.

As refreshment after playing easter egg rugby!

I agree. My egg gets eaten in record time. I definitely think that the chocolate in the egg is nicer. I'm sure it's the same stuff, but somehow it tastes different!

And for those people who feel they're too 'old' for an Easter egg....you're NEVER too old!!

nobody mentioned Creme Eggs yet ??
    Love them, me.......

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Motoring & Transport Moderators Posts: 7,396 Mod ✭✭✭✭**Timbuk2**

Oh yes.. cream eggs (or creme eggs?)

I once saw an easter-egg sized creme egg (complete with that white goo inside.. whatever the name of it is!) on eBay for about $200. The person who made it purchased a lot of small creme eggs and combined them! I'd say you'd be pretty sick (and sticky ) after eating/slurping that!

I can't find a link but you get the drift

I won an enormous Creme Egg Easte egg in a raffle yesterday...imagine if it was full of all that stuff:o sssshlurp!! I got an email the other day with instructions on how to make your own big one. You've to order an egg mould from ebay, melt loads of chocolate, then ingredients for the fondant....down to painting the wrapper identical to the original. It looked cool but it'd be a lot of hassle.
