    Hi,

Never posted in this thread before so I do apologise if it's in completely the wrong place! Please redirect as necessary.

My fiance is sitting an exam next week which is set by the Insurance Institute of Ireland. The exam is called 'General Insurance Market Regulation'.

I have been trying my best to dig up some past exam papers for her and have been unable to do so. If anyone can help or happens to have past papers could they please point us in the right direction? These would be a good study aid and with these exams not being cheap it would be great to get a good start.

    Thanks.

I don't think the insurance institute do past papers.

Really? That is a pity as they really do come in handy with getting your head around how questions are asked and also an idea as to where they put the most emphasis.

I take it that means no one would have old ones lying around at home either then??
( There is no harm in asking!).

I can only answer from experience in that I only ever sat Chartered Insurance Institute examinations as opposed to the Irish Insurance Institute exams, Basically, the difference is that the CII ones, from London, are world recognsied exams. When I sat them, you were not allowed take the exam paper from the examination centre in case you passed them on to a country that was taking the same paper in a different time zone later on and could preview the questions. Dunno what the story is now but perhaps that might explain the scarcity of material

I should clarify that this is what my mate told me in relation to an exam he has coming up this month. It may not apply to them all. I guess your best option is to email them.

Thanks for the replies. Sadly this all makes sense and does tie in with the fact that I cannot find any past papers anywhere on the internet.

Thanks again for the posts. Will try mailing the institute directly on Monday but imagine all your posts are correct.
