Social welfare office open on Good Friday?

    Does anyone know if the social welfare offices will be open tomorrow (Good Friday)?

    I got a letter from the social welfare that I needed to get stamped by my college and returned to my local social welfare office within 7 days or else my back to education allowance will be cut off. Problem is they mailed the letter on Monday, so I didn't get it till Tuesday, and I only just got the thing back from my college this afternoon (too late to make it to the social welfare office today) so apparently if I don't get it back by Monday I'm screwed, and Monday is a bank holiday so they aren't open.

    Are they open tomorrow, even just for a half day?

    If not, what do you reckon the chances are of them accepting the stamped letter on Tuesday and not cutting off my allowance given the circumstances of the 4 day weekend? I really can't afford to lose this allowance, it pays for my college fees, so any help or advice would be appreciated

    If they don't give you the extension appeal.

    I'm sure they will though.
