Should I persist with the pursuit?

    Hi,

Hoping to get some advice on what to do. I met a girl while out about 2 weeks ago, got her phone number, we met up and the date went really well. I could sense that she liked me and we were both texting and phoning each other for over a week, trying to arrange another meet up. Personally I felt I could really like this girl - the signs were good, she's very attractive, and she gave good signs too. Her final text was that we'd talk during the week, as she works shift work which clashes with my availablility. On reflection, my reponse to her text was a little immature, as I joked about going to a movie she doesn't like and joked about how she has cancelled our meet up that day due to being tired; her excuse I felt was genuine. However, I'm beginning to think that she misjudged my text, as I haven't heard back from her since. I've text her since asking how she was but no reply. Usually, in this situation, I wouldn't give a rat's arse, and just forget about her, and start looking again, but there are times when you meet someone, and it feels that bit special. I'm not a person to back down and will endeavour to achieve. I know you can't change a person's feelings but up to the point of me sending that stupid text, I really felt mutual requited attraction. So I'm questioning whether or not I should continue the pursuit? I've probably already ran the risk of appearing desperate, so I'm lacking the confidence (or indeed common sense?) to ring her. I'm wondering would it be a mistake to continue the pursuit by other means (e.g. some flowers?), or would it even be a mistake to just let her go? Anybody got any constructive ideas on this? Even writing this post is very unusual for me, so I realise I'm in a bit of a fix.

    Thanks.

    short answer - yes.
ring her though......and just chat away as if you had never sent that text, and don't mention the fact that she never replied to you.
Just ring - ask how she is, and then straight away ask her out for a drink or whatever.
If she says No, you'll know where you stand.

I left far too many lovely girls slip through my fingers when I was young because of that kind of thing.........

Call her. See what she says. Perhaps she's not as interested in pursuing this as you. Perhaps it was your text - a text is way to easy to be misinterpreted and misconstrued. Only one way to find out.

Honestly, just call her and sound casual - you may have come across as needy before which is a big turn-off for women so be careful. After that I would break off contact and wait and see if she texts or calls you. If not then you have the bad news unfortunately....hope for the best but prepared the worst.
I'm sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to hear but I have been in this situation before.

Thanks for the replies. It's unanimous then - I'll call her. (Why has my heart started to beat a lot faster now...) Will build up the courage and choose the appropriate time. Thanks again.

    Dont ring her.

Send her a joke text, make sure the joke is not too rude and it must be funny, if no response send a well I throught it was funny, how you doing/what you been up to text. Must pick the optimum to to to this, when does she sit down to watch tv with glass of wine etc ? If she gets it and is with a mate out and about the mate will advise ignore him. So timing is crucial.

That way you can get communication going without making her appear to have the upper hand or you losing face.

Get texts going before ringing her, other wise theres a good chance she will just blank your call. Youve dented her ego and we all know about a woman scorned.

Ring her. Once. If she doesn't pick up, leave a voicemail. Be 'breezy'.

If she doesn't call you back, leave it, or you will be the weird stalker dude.

Women are really odd like this ,what one woman finds amusing is totally abhorrent to another . Women are up and down all the time. if you haven't really bonded fully yet and you say the wrong thing at the wrong moment it's curtains. Life's too short ,get up and give her a ring dont apologise just have the craic . And if it doesn't find another girl , and so on . Eventually you'll get your game so tight that no woman can resist you.

    and good luck!
