I am doing a visa application for the uk for my wife.

We need to fly on the 1st of may but the date of fingerprinting we have been given is the 30th of April.
and passports are usually sent 2 days after that.

Worldbridge , who are the company who deal with visa applications, say there is nothing we can do

how come the fingerprinting time is so long.

last time we applied for a visa we pretty much got to fingerprinting straight away and now there is a 3 week weight.

does anyone know if it is possible to contact the embassy directly? and speak to someone there?

I know that when I call the Bristsh embassy in France and ask for 'visa' it forwards me directly to Worldbridge. No one in the embassy was able to help me.

Maybe you can try this method which is used for countries where Worldbridge aren't present?
