Rent Relief Problem

I think this is the right forum for this..

Moved to rented accomodation for the first time last month and amended my tax credits online to include rent relief. An extra €400 a year was added to my credits. Got what I assumed was a confirmation letter today, but when I opened it, it was a cheque for €400.03. Hooray, had the money spent in my mind within seconds, but then I knew there was a problem.

I logged onto www.revenue.ie and my p21 balancing statement for 2008 had been added. Bugger, it includes the 400 relief. So basically, it may be an error on their side, or I may have entered 08 instead of 09 in the commencement of rental field accidently, Im not sure, as I cannot review this info. Either way, while being asked for rent reciepts for 2008 by revenue is unlikely, I like to keep these things in order, and above board.

What is the best way to contact revenue to amend this? And will it be a case of them cancelling the cheque, or amending my credits to re-pay the 400 (effectively cancelling out my 09 rent relief). Either way, I dont mind, but would like to get this sorted as soon as possible. Thanks.
