Right, lets be clear. I know NOTHING about them. Hopefully someone here does :pac:

I'm playing bass in a 3 piece and just spent the weekend in studio laying down a few tracks. We're primarily a rock band but heavily influenced by electro/electronica. When we were recording we took a synth string sound off my bass and did it through an actual synth because of the sound quality.

Sounds amazing now, we want to recreate these sounds on stage. I need to figure out how we are going to do it so heres the problems we face:

    • We are all busy playing instruments, no time to be reaching over to some keys and mess around.
    • Laptop guy/synth player isn't an option at the moment.
    • Complete lack of knowlege of anything that doesn't have a string :p
Is there a footswich type sampler that we could put a wav or something on and trigger with the aul foot? 4+ triggers with a memory bank?

Is there a midi pickup I can put in my bass and hook up to a laptop/keyboard?

Is there anything else any of yas think would help?

Wasn't sure to post here or over in music production...
