Is it possible to subscribe to a user group so that I can get an e-mail notification of activity on it. I know this is easily done for a particular forum or thread but is it possible for user groups?

    It's been a long time since you've been a newbie Quazzie :)

I'm no too sure what exactly you're asking for? Can you give an example?

Thought it might be more appropriate here than in feedback or help desk.

Like fr example I am a member of a few user created groups, and I never really bother checking back into them so a few weeks/months go past and I go back in and see lots of new topics/conversations etc and I've missed them all.

When I subscribe to a thread it automatically subscribes me and send me an e-mail of a reply. It is also possible to subscribe to a forum so you can receive an e-mail every night about all threads that were in use during the day, but there is no such facility that I'm aware of for user created groups, or am I missing something?

It's been available since the 3.8 upgrade but it's by "discussion" and not by "user group"

When viewing the discussion you're interested in just click this in the menu (in red) and subscribe as normal.

Thanks a million. I didn't even spot that as I was looking on the main page for something like forum tools.

    Thanks Ponster ;)

It must have been disabled when social groups allowed multiple discussion threads in them.

It's possible to add group subscriptions manually but I'm not sure if it gives notifications the way forum subscriptions do.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/group.php?do=subscribe&groupid=???

    replace ??? with the groupid.

I have a feeling it doesn't - that's probably why the feature was removed from the menu - it's a bit pointless.
