    Is there many sambo practitioners or clubs in Ireland?I doubt It would be as popular a grappling art here as judo or bjj.I't look's like a very good style.I was looking into it but don't see many clubs around.

    If you're based near Galway, theres a small group of us who train on occasions for international comps. If you're in Dublin, theres a group out in Swords, if you need contact details for either, drop me a PM.
    As regards it being an effective art, its very similiar to Judo. With leglocks and no chokes, if you could imagine that . . . . . :cool:
