i have mostly ignored Wii ware because I figured it would be full of shovel ware but I've had another look at it over the last few days and am actully finding some stuff that looks good.

Mega Man 9 of course looks great and I will probably get it over the weekend but Orbient looks good in a strange kind of way as well as bomberman. Coming up there is a version of Bubble Bobble and Mr Driller is out in Japan already.

And the awesome explodemon is due this year too.

Has anyone found any gems or stinkers on Wii-ware?

Art Style Orbient, Art Style Cubello and World of Goo are all must buys on Wii-Ware IMHO!
The three of them are fantastic games, that really do go to show that it is all about the gameplay over the wow factor.

Orbient is very relaxing, chilled and just generally "nice" to play.

Cubello is like a three dimensional tetris (only way I can think of to describe this) where you have to fire individual coloured blocks at a constantly spinning group of blocks, forming groups of 4 of the same colour touching to eliminate them. Very addictive, but requires that you're pretty accurate and I'd imagine that it'd be a nightmare and totally no-go for anyone that's colour blind

World of Goo is just a fun puzzler that will have you thinking laterally, and strangely enough, architecturally :D

I was just getting into it there until the recent update which blocked access to the wii shop, but there's a work around which I'll try during the week.

World of goo is the biggy and it's a fabulous game. Charming, funny, well written and just great fun. Pretty much essential.

I also got Onslaught but I can't really recommend it. The control scheme is excellent but it's very short and looks really cheap. You'll either like it or hate it.

I really want to get Lost Wind next which looks excellent and Toki Tori I'm dying to play, the original GBC game was excellent. I've also heard good things about Demon Crush (the hudson pinball game). Must try the artstyle games.

Can't wait for bubble bobble, instant purchase. Kind of hesitant about Rainbow Islands. If it plays like the original it will be great just hope they don't **** it up like with the DS game.

Lost Wind is a very good little game, but a little on the easy side, and a little on the short side. It's very enjoyable though, and I'd recommend it alright, so long as the buyer keeps the above points in mind. Apparently it's the first in a series of games.

    + 1

Also as Retr0gamer said re Onslaught, slight repetitive and cheap but worth a play if you are into the FPS genre.

TV Show King is good for Multiplayer and Bomberman is great too.

Space Invaders Get Even is an absolute classic on wii-ware. After that, the fave ones I have are online balance board tetris, online bomberman blast, online texas hold'em...hang on...I see a trend here :)

Forgot about Space Invaders Get Even.

The stupid shop hack doesn't work. The hack is insultingly called the 'noob install' yet the thing crashes when you use it. Damn it I just want toki tori!

You should play it before passing judgement and being ignorant. It's a great little puzzle game.

Its worth mentioning too that the (excellent) soundtrack is available to download for free from the official website: http://kylegabler.com/WorldOfGooSoundtrack/

I love "ode to the bridge builder"

Can't go wrong with Texas Hold'em Poker at 500 points.
Online, Mii inclusion and cheap - graphics and sound ain't the best but it's poker, don't need to have it complicated.

Can't find out when it's out in the states though - really want to play a friend over there and rob all his money :)

Been playing Bubble Bobble Plus for most of the evening and its great fun, Looks good, well hard but with a good difficulty curve and well worth the 300 points more than the NES version because of the entire extra Arrange mode which is a 4 player widescreen mode with new levels and enemies.

I spent a lot of Saturday afternoons playing this at my mates house on the C64, its till as much fun.
