How coincidental that this article appears as more and more board members are asking questions about membership. If you haven’t got the newspaper, go out and get a copy. It’s revealing to say the least.

There are 64 courses covered and several really stand out:

    No Entrance Fees:
    Arklow
    Athlone
    Co. Sligo
    Galgorm Castle
    The Heath
    Rosapenna
    Rossmore

    Minimal Entrance Fees:
    Castlerock (£1,500)
    Portumna (€400)

These are all very good courses, with Co. Sligo being an absolute star. Castlerock and Rosapenna are also superb, but if you prefer inland courses you’ll love the offers at Athlone and Portumna.

    Talk about a buyer’s market!
    Good luck
