I am thinking of studying this course in the near future. Are any of the readers of this thread; doing the course or even thinking of doing it? The course seems preety interesting. Plus you get to study abroad - how awesome! I'm talking about the DN015 course. All help/discussion/feedback is greatly appreciated and welcomed. :)

hey, I'm doing commerce..it's a grand course, you've gotta be prepared to do lots of presentations and loads of group things like essays and all which can be pretty stressful! First year is pretty easy, second year is tough though! You do a huge mix of subjects for the first two years then specialize in the third! You'll prob like some of them and hate some of them!!

Second year is actually the hardest. As you specialize in third year, you usually end up doing something you enjoy and are good at.

Commerce is a great social course to study. I'm in 3rd yr, did erasmus to New Zealand in 2nd yr and it was incredible.

As has been said already, the course has a wide range of subjects in first and second year. It's a really broad degree. Once you specialise in final year you have a good grounding in subjects from Business Management to HR, Economics and Finance to Accounting, and you can focus on the subject area you want. (Be aware that your Erasmus choice in second year can make you inelligible for certain final year streams, and your first year GPA is what they take into account in the Erasmus selection)

I've thoroughly enjoyed the course, and would recommend it to anyone.

(Now if only I dindn't have to study for these bloody exams...but hey at least the Strategy case study is done and dusted right?)

I did one semester of this course this year and moved. Way too boring - it's difficult to spend hours doing homework on business management case studies, when, in reality, if such an issue were to occur, you'd use instinct rather than think back to "oh what was it the case study in first year Commerce said?!" Plus, career prospects not looking so good right now. That said, some people love it, so it might be me, not the course.

I didnt like alot of the subjects in first and second year but 3rd year has been good. I also got my best grades this year as im doing subjects that I actually have an interest in.
All in all I think its a good course and its pretty well respected. Its also relatively easy.
