Need an Assertiveness Course

Really need to do a part time / weekend assertiveness course. Am based in North Dubin. Anyone able to recommend one?:rolleyes:

Hi,

I just noticed that this has gone unanswered - My apologies for that. I generally try to answer the unanswered ones because I hate the thought of it (i.e. - someone feeling as if no-one cared). Anyway, I cannot think of any assertivesness courses, but I can tell you that I managed to become more assertive by myself. I generated thoughts in my head such as: 'I have worth'; 'I won't take **** from anyone anymore'; and 'I can do what I want to do'. Over time, I gradually became more assertive/confidant.

Try and google it, I know thee were a few going on before in Limerick in local colleges at the weekends, a friend of mine did one and it did him the world of good.

unfortunately I also don't know where you could find a course but I know my mother did an assertiveness course many years ago and I know she got a huge ammount from it - actually its really hard to believe she ever needed to work on her assertiveness, as she so confident and proud! if you do come across a course you should go for it! all the best

I'd recommend the Toastmasters. They've clubs all over Ireland and are great for building confidence.
