I have seen return Ryanair flights to Reus for less than a packet of fags. :pac:

FWIW, I've read on other forums that a lot of people are having success with them, having failed with the gum/patches/willpower alone

I went on the electronic cigarettes. They work with willpower. Not any significantly better or worse than the current market of nicorette products so you will still be dying for a smoke but when you are it takes the edge off.

Like those candy cigarettes the used to sell in the shops when I was a kid.

Ahhh. So that's why I started smoking.
Anyone remember the name of the company that made them? I think I might have a good chance at suing them.

I picked these up around Christmas time- several types and 'flavours' from
one of the main UK suppliers.

There's a lot of cheap and bad quality products online from China, and whilst
I've no problem buying most things from China, e-cigs I would only buy
    from within EU or USA.

Do I get a nicotine hit from them? yes, it's a different type of nicotine 'fix'
    Will I need a cigarette if I use a e-cig? no
Have I replaced my cigarettes with 'vaping' an e-cig? no

I feel I've tried enough of the current brands and blends to know it's not
going to replace cigarettes for me. I only see a use for them if I'm stuck
somewhere where I can not smoke for a long period of time such as a
long-haul flight (the e-cigs produce no smoke or smell as the nicotine
is contained in a cloud of 'flavoured steam').

    +1

I didnt find it very effective, Willpower is still a major requirement.
But if you are seriously planning to give up smoking, then it might be worth the 40-50 euro to help you off the fags

I managed to kick the habit with them, but believe me, it's not the same as a delicious, sweet fragrant cigarette... sigh..

according to this they are banned in Ireland as they are a gateway to the bad stuff - you could always sue the government for not banning them earlier - although it could force them into liquidation!

tbh when i saw the thread title 'What is the deal with electronic cigarettes?'
i seriously thought it was about buying smokes online (electronically) which accounts for my earlier post :o

    hehe
I saw that and wasn't sure why you were suggesting them
Kinda funny that in what is essentially a "Help me quit smoking" thread, You post on how to get cheap cigarettes :D

And on a side note, the website marcsignal linked is hit & miss. You order 200 cigs, theres a moderate chance customs will find them and charge you €80 release. Theres a thread in the smoking forum on this

I was selling those a mere 2/3 years ago. A woman said something about encouraging smoking, I effectively told her to piss off.
