Clare Balding a disgrace

I had to look up her name, I could not believe what she said to the Jockey Liam Treadwell on the Grand National winner Mon Mome.

While interviewing Treadwell, who partnered Mon Mome to victory in the Aintree Grand National, Balding said: "Give us a big grin to the camera."
She then said: "Let's see your teeth. He hasn't got the best teeth in the world, but you can afford to go and get them done now if you like."

Sweet baby Jesus, I could not believe my ears. What a mean woman.

thanks for the clarification. I think there's a lot being made of that remark. I think it might have more to do with her (a toff) slagging a jockey (who would probably be considered working class, even though they are probably all minted). It was a stupid remark, but she apologised to the jockey so I dont think it warrants any further criticism.

Probably a bit blown out of proportion. I was bit suprised though at the time when I was watching it. She's a clown.

In fairness they are not that bad really.......I was expecting to see a Shane MacGowan look alike............


Its just typical of how society thinks these days.......if you dont have a a britney spears or Ronan Keating smile you have to go and get Devinci veners (not sure about spelling).


There is no tolerance for individual or unique teeth......Makes everyone look very boring me thinks.

No, I'm not making excuses for her bad joke but what I'm also not doing is getting offended on the behalf of somebody else.

What a lot of posters may not realise is that the guy would not have been flush with cash growing up

unlike pussy lover Clare who was born with the proverbial silver spoon

nothing wrong with being born privelaged once you are aware of your good fortune and respectful of others not so fortunate

thing is, Liam was born with his teeth, Clare chooses to pile on the weight. Liam was also kind enough not to retort on her masculinity.
