Sky + Box - Flashing Issues

    Hey there,

    I am having some issues with my Sky + box. Out of the blue, I cannot access any TV station. When I select a station from the station's list, I get a blue screen and where the program/channel information is meant to pop up I get a blank box that repeatedly flashes.

    Anyone come across this before? I have tried the usual of turning on and off the box along with plugging the box out from the wall.

    I can watch recordings perfectly.

    How long did you plug it from the wall for? Maybe extend the time, and remove card from slot too.

    A good thirty seconds, I tried removing the card too.

    After plugging it out it was ok, and after 5 seconds the problem started again.

    How very odd . . . I think this only starts to occur when something is recording.

    Hm, I'm out of ideas so! I've never expereinced your symptoms.

    Is your signal levels on both satellite inputs OK? If so, maybe a forced software download might be worth a shot...

    Maybe disable Instant Rewind.

    I don't want to hijack the thread, but my box has started flashing. Mine, however , is different from the OPs. My box flashes just as you would blink your eyes. Can be more prevelent on different channels. Have done all the usual checks several times, and have even left it off overnight. Box is a Thomson Sky+ installed in August 2007.
