A lot of times when i go to the gym i feel really dizzy after a while and have to sit down for a bout 10 minutes does anyone know why this is?
Is it because im eating too much/too little before i go or too many weights etc?

Hmm, the only thing that would spring to mind is that you might not be drinking enough water and might be a tad dehydrated. How much water do you drink a day? Do you drink loads of water while you train?

Only other thing i can think of is that your overall nutrition might be lacking something important?

Those are the only 2 things I can think of.

When i train i try not to drink too much water because i find when i go running afterwards im very full or bloated when im running and i find it very hard to run,
Maybe your right about my overall nutrition, i sometimes tend to eat junk food maybe thats affecting me?

Do you experience this outside of the gym too?
Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

Dizziness can be a sign of low blood pressure.
Might be better off checking with your GP.

This happened to me on Saturday morning actually.

I reckoned it was only because I had only had a Banana and a glass of orange juice before I went the the gym.

My legs also felt like a tonne weight and I was seeing little black dots.
It wasn't that I was after having a really tough work out or anything.

Going again tonight so hopefully it won't happen again.

I would be a big believer in keeping well hydrated. Was always told to drink plenty of water before, during and after training. Obviously this is not necessarily the root of your problem.

Jesus mate go see your doctor, and you should be drinking plenty of water before during and after training. But GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR ASAP!

Do you really think i should go to the doctor i dought its anything that serious.
I could just be doing too much weights and not eating properly

Yes yes and yes It could be something like what you said but dont waste your time talking to clampets like us. Go see you gp asap. You shouldnt be feeling like that and it only takes a 30 mins for your gp to run a few tests.

Do it asap and i wouldnt hit the gym until you see you gp just to be on the safe side.

I sometimes get dizzy working out first thing in the morning, so I try to work out later in the day after a whole day of food in my system. I'm the type of person that needs to eat frequently, every 2-3 hours to keep the blood sugar levels up.

make sure you're drinking plenty of water at least a litre per hour of exercise, the other thing it could be is blood pooling in your legs after working the legs hard and suddenly stopping.

i used to get pretty dizzy as well but found that if i had plenty of water i was grand

Only your Doctor will be able to tell you if it's serious or not - please go have a chat to them.
