The hi caps work fine once maintained properly...

high caps work fine if you use a good quality bb. i have 4 high caps which have nver jammed with excel bb's. but will jam with monster and some other brands.
But i have 4 mid caps on order as they are a lot easier to fill in the field with a spped loader instead of having to wind them.

What about getting a brand new one and winding it up only to find it kills itself after ten shots

Was that an acm high cap or a tm? I have four tm hicaps a year and a half now, they still work flawlessly

hmmm i can see it now, P90, box mag, bipod, long barrel and silencer, and a sniper scope. makes you the most hated person on the field or your money back

k, got my agm mid caps, they are slightly transparent, just a shade darker then the normal highcaps, the spring is also removable so it can be cleaned or replaced if damaged, havent had time to skirmish yet due to injury.

I had the same problem - I took it apart and found that even though you were turning the winder loads, the part which feed the bb's up was moving very little because it could simply move away from the cogs on the winding wheel when it wanted.

the high caps simply dont work with some brands of bb's, i've never had an issue with excel bb's, but have founds a number of other brands that simply jam all the time
