Camry not idling

2001 Camry will sometimes not tick over (idle) after starting.
I must keep accelerator presses to stop engine from cutting out.

Rectifies itself after a few minutes when engine warms up.

Anyone experience similar problems or have a solution?

I seem to remember something about an Idle air control valve and these cars it used to go faulty and was in the air filter or intake piping somewhere. The car would stall at lights etc. dunno if this helps.

The throttle body needs to be cleaned . Disconnect the battery, clean the body then drive the car for approx 20 mins to reset it, you may also need to leave it tick over for 15 mins afterwards.
