New Ford Focus

This is going to be a very important car for Ford. At the moment, Ford are starting to turn around their US image. Unlike GM and Chrysler, they didn't take a government bailout. This has got them a lot of credability in the US. At the same time, they are launching models in the US which journalists are excited about. Just look at the Mondeo inspired Ford Taurus.

At the same time, the new Ford Fiesta will soon go on sale in the US and will be Ford's only mass production car being sold world wide until the launch of the new Focus, which is speculation is true, will also be sold in the US.

Anyways, Auto Express have come out with these renders of the new Focus. I must say I quite like it.

Looks like the Fiesta on steroids with plastic surgery - like Mickey Rourke in the wrestler.

Thankfully, being an AutoExpress 'scoop' the real thing will look nothing like this.

I like it. Then again I love the new Fiesta. I think the Ford range at the mo is well ahead of Toyota.

I hate this nonsense, this is an artists impression on what a car may look like.

interesting that the entry level model will be 1.0
Meet the most desirable family car ever! This striking machine is about to rewrite the hatchback rulebook, with a stunning combination of head-turning looks, driver appeal and up-to-the-minute technology. Say hello to Ford’s next-generation Focus.
Say hello to a load of twaddle more like. a look back at Auto Express issues from the past show that they're rarely on the ball when it comes to predicting new models. (unless it's an Audi, and lets face it, I could sketch the line up for the next decade)

Smaller capacity turbo charged engines across the board it's claimed.

I wonder what that's based on? I remember hearing that the Ka/Fiat 500 would have a 2 cylinder turbo engine. I haven't seen it yet.

Have to agree.. look at all the new MG-Rovers they had predicted back in the day, never came to anything.
