    Hi folks,

    I've had a Canon 100-400IS for a while now.
To be honest it was never sharp, not by a long shot.

Is there anywhere I can send it that would bring it up to spec?

    Regards,

    fleet

want me to take a look ?
    No Fix no fee !!

Actually - since you are a Boardsie - max charge €150 - includes repair, labour, parts etc etc.
Will open it up - clean the individual parts and close it back up - fairly easy to do.....if you are not happy - NO FEE !!

    Cheers

...could he do this himself, I did it with an old 50mm prime and it wasn't too hard, dunno about zooms though !!

he might be able to do it him/herself ..... just remember to make notes of every screw and piece you remove and detailed drawings - if a piece goes missing or gets put back the wrong way ....you might break it completely.

    Thanks PCPhoto,

it needs adjustment though. The sharpness is not caused by any dirt, the lens is virtually pristine.
