Hi I have a 2000 red volvo. The colour is faded and it looks quite faded.
Do any of those colour polishes work or am I stuck with it.

    Thanks:)

nah, you just need to remove a very fine layer of the paint to get shiney redness back again.

T Cut or similar will do the trick don't bother with "red" coloured polish for this one - these only mask scratches . the paint is just oxidised, don't worry, it's really easy :D

Get T cut. It will work and car will look much muc better. Its not a polish really. Its a cutting compound so it really removes a very tiny layer of the paint thereby leaving a nice new fresh paint layer on show.

And make sure you seal the "new" paint with a good polish, otherwise it will just fade again.
And never ever ever wash your car with washing-up liquid or washing powder. Use a proper car shampoo because they don't have such strong detergents in them, which cause the paint (esp. red) to fade.

Or for that matter, Use a garage machine washer (the one with the bristles) as this will just further damage the paint and in the long run strip any lacquer left on the car.
