Squats, with at least 80% IRM. Not joking, this activates more core muscles than most ab exercises.

Roman chair, bicycle crunches, plank, side bridge, weighted crunches on a ball.

    Pilates is good too.

Again with abs like any body part you cant spot reduce so your diet is key to achieving a 6 pack/toned look. A person can have well devloped core but be carrying excess fat over it due to excess calories.

    • Hanging leg raises (feet to hands)
    • Ab pull down (high pulley)
    • Squats
    • Deadlifts

training abs in isolation is more for people who like to workout as often as they can.

also, doing deadlifts and chin ups you will never need to do a barbell curl again.
same as with doing both bench press and overhead press, you wont need to do tricep pushdowns and kickbacks etc

focusing on abs is just a waste of time imo. the abs are already being 'worked out' in alot of exercises, mainly the big compound movements and with kettle bell exercises
