Splitting txt file in half - Windows

    Hi,
I have an 18MB text file that I want to split in half.

Notepad and Wordpad are too slow to scroll so cutting and pasting is ruled out. I can't copy it into excel as there's over 65k rows.

I know Linux has a split command for this but what about Windows. I've found a few freeware apps on the net but I don't want to install them unless I'm sure there legitimate.

If it comes to it I could install a Ubuntu VM or something on my computer as I am going to need to do this job on a daily basis for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks.

I don't know if notepad++ has a feature like this but it might be worth looking at. It's a legit app so it might be worth downloading to see if it suits.

Would THIS be of ant help?

I've used it to do something similar in the past without issue.
