Best value is Williamstown at €504 if you want a gui handicap you can join the club there for an extra €130 (i think).I am a member there but not of the club was a member in waterford castle for years but was not getting the benefit of paying €1200 a year. The best other one would be carrick on suir your first year is €540 but that goes up to €690 after that + they have a scheme where you can pay over ten months.Waterford, Faithlegg and the castle have joining fees of between 2-3k and an annual sub of 900-1200 depending and may let you pay the joining fee over a period of time.Forgot Mountain View i think its around €550 for the year.

Carrick on Suir is a great course. It may be too far for you but the course itself is great value. Very long and testing. Back nine open about 10years now and is a real test. One of the longest par 4's I've ever played. Clubhouse is solid, not spectacular but a friendly club overall.

Just starting to play the game, I think Williamstown is good value for a year or two. But since I have never liked that course, I'd be looking elsewhere.

€800 no entrance fee and a 40 minute drive to Dungarvan is, in my opinion, a good option. Carrick is another.

But if I had some spare cash for €3,000 entrance fee, and the patience to sit on a waiting list, I'd go for Tramore.
