VG+ PS3 games price drop (16.50 delivered)

As the title says VG+ are doing a promotion for the next 20 days or so where they will drop the price of a ps3 game to 19.99 CD dollars (12 euro) and add it to the bargin bin. There will be 60 titles in there by the end for 12 euro+ 4.50 delivery. They are quite a few poor games but some gems too if you are new to the console or just missed them first time around ( or you want to rebuy the orange box !! like me) then it might be of some use to you.

Some i think are worth it :

Dark sector- Good game to play through once at least nice concept.
Burnout paradise - good fun if you liek that kind of thing !!
Condemned 2 - this is quite dark and weird but a good game.
Orange box- is there a better value game out there i dont think so

I saw Condemned 2 for €12.50 in Game in Cork the other day, was tempted to pick it up.

I'm interested to see what other games they drop the price for, hopefully there will be a gem I missed along the way in there somewhere

Stranglehold is a good way to lose a couple of hours for that kind of money, but only if you like the Woo Hong Kong action movies, I would think. I have Jericho and enjoyed it, good at night with the surround system on. Again, can't go wrong for that money.

I got the email from VG+ last night alright confirming this,

Already have the orange box, its a must just for Portal alone. then Half Life 2, Episode one and Episode 2 and then theres team fortress that never gets dull.
All for $19.99 Canadian Dollars which is €12 and then shipping is €4.50
All in all €16.50

Got my game the last time in 3 days.
Ill be keeping an eye on this everyday.

Wow End War is a crap game (from the demo) but for a new game to be that price is amazing :eek: also ferari challenge. Might pick up a few of these when I find out more games added.

Demo was pretty poor but once you get the full game and play through the tutorial levels you get a better handle on it, The voice commands work really well and the graphics are very good. The only thing that is really annoying is the camera why did they do that i dont know but you cant glide over the warzone like C&C but you have to swap between units. So it can be very flustrating to try and control your units in a big battle.

But worth a bash at that price.

2 more to add... today is Socom confrotation. I like this but its not for everyone very tactical. And you may get as close a deal in Ire. ( maybe with the headpiece).

And yesterday Championship paintball !! dont think this got a EU release might be a reason for that

Maybe Saits Row is not worth getting after that video. They have a man that has the voice of a girl? Why would you be made make a character if it's going to be a girls voice anyways?


As for the graphics. It's like a PS2 version of GTA.

Saints row 2 is ment to be pretty good once you are not looking for anything too realistic its just mental fun.

Kane and Lynch is poor i bought that thought it would be brilliant was so dissapointed.

Dead Space is well worth picking up, I couldn't really get into Mirror's edge, got a bit frustrating for me, but it's prob worth a shot a 16.50

Yea Mirrors edge is flustrating when you keep falling off buildings but also really rewarding when you string together a good run and since its so original i think its a game every one should at least play.

+ 1 on Dead space. My fave game of 08. So atmospheric, Like Resident Evil 4 crossed with Aliens. I traded it but might pickup at that price to replay.

I've played and beaten Saints row. I got far more fun out of it than I didd GTA4. There's more to do, and the plot is really crazy and funny. At least. It worked for me.

Also, you can go to the plastic surgeon and change your look, voice, walk, crew, ad umpteen other things. It's well worth it for anything under 20 euro.
