I cant find reviews on one of these are nearly every page I've tried
    was blocked at work.

I want an CA-SA58 but there is also a newer version the OSW version
which is more fugly but it has a foldable stock. It also has electric blowback
I think, Catch is its got the horrid rails on the handguard to pimp it up.

From the looks of things its comes with a PEQ battery box as it takes
    a large sized battery,

I dont want a large big external box strapped to the handguard.
What I am wondering is does anyone here know if the handguard would
have enough space to fit a mini battery or crane stock battery ?

Been looking at the OSW myself but I have to say I'd have strong doubts about getting anything but a lipo in the handg uard. I haven't seen one in the flesh myself but from the pix and videos on teh interweb it may be a bit of squeeze getting the a mini battery connector in there (the connector on the gearbox side seems to stick out of the hand guard) let alone a 'normal' battery.
