Internet keeps going off

Occaisonally while using the internet it would go off. The green light would start flickering for ages. Firefox would take ages to load then i would get a message say page cannot be displayed. Someone told me to turn the router off and then onn again. And this worked. However i noticed that after a while the internet would stop again. The pages would turn off right away (instead of taking ages to reload) and the green light would stay on. If i turn the router off and then on again i get a message saying 'this connection has little or no connectivity'

Any ideas what it could be?

First things first, have you checked with your ISP to make sure your account is set up correctly? Just in case its their end and could save you messing around with things on your side. Also, you should check that the router settings you have match the ones set by your ISP. If they are all ok you could try a different cable from router to computer and router to phone in case one of them is dodgy. Could be any number of things so checking all settings and cables would be the first thing. Also, are you using the router your ISP provided you with or did you set up your own?
