Epson Printer - Waste Pads - Help!

I have an Epson Stylus C64 Printer. I have to either get the waste ink pads replaced or clean them myself. I would like to try this myself but don't know how to get to them. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. Please could you tell me in simple terms, lol.
