large compressor for sand blasting

    Anybody know where i might get a large compressor like 250 cfm for sandblasting.

    I know a few people who bought secondhand road compressors at the Ganly Craigie auctions, stuff like that often goes cheap as there isn't much a market for older second hand ones, plus they are ideal for sandblasting

    foxman but i had a look over there and most of them are a bit small and i was able to stop the pressure on the last one with my finger. the only good thing was the engine

    It might be worth having a look in the plant section of the autotrader there is often a few big atlas copco's there for handy money

    Hi lads iv got a compressor, was just wondering where the best place to get sandblasting equipment such as the gun etc?

    Hi all, my friend got a compressor a 260cfm ingersoll rand in england. Got it off compressed air plant. Great lads to deal with. Liam get in contact with allied or applied concepts they are in offley google there name, my friend got all his stuff there.

    Other stuff you probably know : You can't use actual sand anymore - gives you Silicosis http://www.netterimages.com/image/7198.htm

    Suss out insurance before you do anything , could be high. Would be daft to not have it.
