Trying to find it online but can only find that Gov Bonds are free of tax.

Does anyone know it it applies to all types of bonds in the ROI?

Just brief guidance not 100% sure but at a guess -
Interest on bonds will always have dirt and paid net of interest - less 20%
But you can use the 20% as reclaiming tax back

But I dont think there is any capital gains on bonds

Certain finacncial instruments are exempt from stamp duty and CGT as they change hands so often that the practical application could be very onerous.

Income received from these instruments is taxable however.

What type of bond is it?
