Looking at the Hollywood website they do not list the 02 model of my car as compatible or not with their Express 3 rack. But they do list that the 04-06 models are compatible. Anyone have this rack and an estate car ?

Or anyone have the Thule 9103 and know whether it would fit my car.
Or do they all pretty much fit every car.
The A4 Estate has a small spoiler thing sticking out at top of rear window and wondering if that might be an issue fitting these things ?

    Thx

I have a similar style rack. It's perfect on my Suzuki "Swift" but a bit dodgy on the Honda FRV which has a similar roof spoiler to yours by the sound of it.

I think it depends how much faith you have in the spoiler, and how you position the rack. If you can get the padded rollers sitting on something then the amount of force through the top straps is reduced.

I'd still rather have a proper roof-mounted rack - it seems to take ages to get the bikes on and off the back, and you lose access to the boot when fully loaded.

I have a A4 saloon, And use a standard Thule roof bar, and use Elite San Remo roof bar attachements to mount the bikes on the roof.

I used to use a rear mounted rack but find they were scratching the paintwork....

The Thule bars are expensive, but the elite san remos attachments are
not, you can get 'em on Pro bike kit .com ....

Cheers for advice. Looking at it and other threads on here it seems(overhead dangers aside) roof racks are the way to go.

My car has 2 rails down the side, http://www.whatcar.com/car-review-pictures.aspx?RT=702
Biker Joe do I still need those parts ? ... was on PBK and am confused as to what exactly I need. Also Ideally would like to be able to carry 2 bikes

    Muchos gracias

yea you will still need roof bars,

    and attach these
    http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=NP04593

one per bike, and stick the front wheel(s) in the car / boot

I have two sets attached to thule roof bar system for an
audi A4, but I don't have the rails i have an earlier model A4 Saloon.

or else fit these too ....

    http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=NP04179

to carry front wheel on the rack too ....

yep, they look to be the job, thule are the best around, and probably cheaper on the net, and yes you need to Elite san remo kit too, to attach your bike to the roof bars.

    Biker Joe.
